What is Sparrow Outreach?
Jesus claimed to be the Way. He taught that we should seek the Kingdom of God first, and that all of our needs would be met in that pursuit. In Sparrow Outreach, my wife and I strive to take those words seriously, encouraging and challenging those that He has called on the streets of McKinney, TX. Through small group and one-on-one discipleship, we seek the healing and deepening of relationships, purpose, and peace in Jesus’ name.
Meet The Team: Cal
Cal Simpson was born in Texas, but the "raised" part is a longer story. While spending much of his adolescence in North Texas, his family relocated in his early high school years to follow God's call in planting an orphanage in Bolivia. He ended high school in Australia and lived in California before making his way back to north Texas and eventually getting married to his long time friend, Brenna.
Having settled in Downtown McKinney, God revealed His heart for the local homeless community to newlyweds Cal and Brenna. They began volunteering with lWhat began as occasional volunteering soon turned into vocational ministry as God continued to change Cal’s heart, driving home

Financially, our ministry partner is Streetside Showers. Streetside Showers serves the homeless community of DFW and further by supplying showers, clothes, and food items on a weekly and biweekly schedule. They are a registered 501c3 organization and help us by collecting and distributing donations. We receive 100% of donations made to Streetside Showers in our name and they are tax deductible.
